THE WORKSHOP "HOBBY & ART"

The Serbian company Hobby & Art is the publisher of UNIKAT, a magazine for crafts and the handmade creations. First published in February 2003, UNIKAT has been a success ever since, and not only locally - it's also being read in Slovenia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. The reason for this success is with its conceptual approach and its contents, different from those of other publications dealing with the possibilities in the creative expression.

The UNIKAT had won numerous awards at home and abroad. It appears once every two months, and on every page, it offers photographs with the detailed methodological explanations. It shows, at the end of each thematic whole, the reedy-made ideas and solutions so that, with little creativity, one can oneself create the object from the photograph.

The company features a foreign program for hobbies and creative crafts to include all sorts of colors, Styrofoam forms, wooden objects, jewelry, modeling clay, painting tools, paper and decorative contents - such as strips, motif applications, feathers, pears, colored send etc. These materials are imported from a French manufacturer PEBEO and the German company EFCO and Slovenian producer of glass and ceramic kilns PIKA.

Due to the magazine's original conception and because of the growing interest, Hobby & Art Inc. is currently holding the creative workshops for those participants showing the interest and the desire for this kind of creative expression, without being necessarily talented for fine arts.
The creative workshops for children and adults are held daily on the premises of Hobby & Art Inc., with the available location: the hall "Pinki" in Zemun.

In the workshop Hobby & Art the participants are encouraged to learn and develop the artistic crafts through application of various materials. The work takes place in small groups and our teaching staff are members of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts with excellent knowledge of English and French languages. The workshop curriculum had been accredited by the Ministry of Education and Sports as a useful tool for educators and pedagogues in their professional specialization . In this sense, Hobby and Art. is authorized to issue to the participants a certificate at the end of the program.
